Mon Avis : Oceans 13 - Racy, Stylish Ride

The gang is back and is back in style. The style quotient of this franchisee just gets better. Clooney, Garcia, Pacino, Pitt and Damon together produce a chic flick that is so racy that at a point you just give up the race with the screenplay. This movie is more of a con rather than a steal. Danny Ocean's (Clooney) team pulls off this smooth job to avenge ego maniacal Willy Bank's (Pacino) defrauding of Reubon (gould)..The movie returns to the Sin City where the gang play out their entire fraud once again in a casino.

Ups:

  • The roles have been etched to perfection and the con job is mesmerising to the finish
  • Pacino is a fresh introduction and does the wicked job too well. Hams a lil but to get to see Pacino is such a delight
  • The only element that pulls together the plot is that of surprise... the next move of the gang is so well covered that you really have to wrack your brain to connect one frame to the next.. A classic Steven Sodenbergh crack...
  • The music compliments the plot and adds a charm to the movie

Downs:

  • No Julia and no Zeta Zones.. how we miss them....
  • The plot is good but some cons are not too convincing....
  • French Night Fox remains wasted after a brilliant showdown in Oceans 12

Watch it if you are a stickler for style and panache that is so George Clooney and Bradd Pitt..

Everything was gud abt this movie and the plot was perfect to con him.A sheer display of how technology can be used to your gud despite all odds.I suppose this kind of con is posssible only in movies.
But during the course of the movie if you happened to leave in between and went to grab a coffee ,when u are back.. u r lost.I mean this movie requires undivided attention --- a geek wud definitely appreciate but not a c'mon man.But in the end the movie somehow manages keeps it story legible to the viewers.I myselves had to go back and watch it twice to understand a particular scene. Finally it s a gud movie to watch with fellow geek freinds and not with ur girlfriend. No offense geeks wud love to follow even in the absence of beauties-- a complete surprsie as u had mentioned.
